Senior Manager, HR and Admin for SCL Electronics (India) Ltd.

Sulakshana Circuits Ltd (www.SCLpcb.com) is a 34 year old, highly reputed Electronics Manufacturer in IDA Bollaram with 130 employees. It is led by an Indian-American. To keep up with the explosive growth in the electronics market it is building a modern new factory. This new facility, SCL Electronics (India) Pvt. Ltd., will have the latest equipment to meet the rapidly growing requirements of high-tech PCBs and PCBAs and would occupy a built-up area of approximately 110,000 Sq. Ft. in a total plot area of 5.18 acres.

The target market is Aerospace and Defence electronics. It will require an organizational culture that is highly disciplined and has an absolute adherence to written procedures and stives for the highest quality – and a manufacturing team with the ability to execute. The HR Manager would be responsible for the new SCL Electronics facility of 3-400 people and have functional responsibility for the HR department at the current facility (60 Union, 35 contracts, 35 staff). Administration including Transportation, canteen, housekeeping and Security are also within the scope of this position.

Job brief.

We are looking for an HR Manager to lead our Human Resources department and his/her responsibilities include overseeing the recruitment process, developing the organization culture, designing and enforcing company policies and managing the HR team. He/she will ensure our company attracts hires, motivates, develops and retains the most qualified employees and organizes them to work efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities.

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy

• Design and implement company policies and procedures

• Develop, plan and manage the recruitment and selection process

• Develop compensation and benefits plans

• Manage payroll and performance appraisal system that drives high performance

• Implement and maintain a computerized HRMS system and documents

• Craft and update job descriptions

• Develop employment contracts and agreements

• Assist with new hire on-boarding (e.g., preparing the necessary paperwork and scheduling training)

• Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics

• Prepare reports on new hire metrics (e.g., cost per hire, time-to-fill, time-to-hire and source of hire)

• Track other key HR metrics like retention rates, labour efficiency, labour costs, Cost of Quality due to labour etc

• Assess training and development needs and then monitor training programs

• Organize training programs and asses their effectiveness

• Meet the HR requirements of ISO9000, Aerospace, Defence and other certifications

• Compliance to all relevant HR laws (ESI, PF, PT, Labour Laws etc)

• Liaise with Labour related Government Departments

• Deal with the Union and ensure productivity improvement

• Address employees’ requests and grievances in a timely manner

• Administration including Transportation, canteen, houskeeping and Security

 Requirements.

• Proven working experience of 6-10 years as HR Manager or equivalent

• Degree in Human Resources Management or related field (MBA in HR will be an added advantage)

• People-oriented and results-driven

• Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics

• Knowledge of HR systems and databases

• Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills

• Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills

• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company

• In-depth knowledge of labour laws, regulations and HR best practices

• Experience in designing compensation and benefits programs

• Good knowledge of labour legislation and the labour environment in Telangana

• Experience using professional social networks (LinkedIn, in particular)

• Excellent organizational skills

• Excellent communication abilities

• Ability to foster healthy employee relations and organization development

• Mastery of English. Good knowledge of Telugu

• Be able to conveniently travel to eCity (Exit 14 on ORR) daily and IDA Bollaram weekly.
